• Job Description: Director of Talent Acquisition

    Do you want to work on projects that positively impact the world? At twoXAR, we discover lifesaving drug treatments using artificial intelligence. We are seeking an in-house director of talent acquisition to help build and shape the twoXAR team for the years to come. This Mountain View-based role is part of our core team and is critical to our success; compensation is reflective of a series-A startup and is commensurate with skills & experience. The ideal candidate has 5+ years’ experience sourcing and filling roles in the life sciences and computer science.
     

    twoXAR is an artificial intelligence-driven drug discovery company

    We leverage our computational platform to identify promising drug candidates, validate and de-risk them through preclinical studies, and progress candidates to the clinic through industry and investor partnerships. We have established collaborations with leading biopharmaceutical companies and are now scaling the business and building our internal drug pipeline. twoXAR is venture-backed with financing from SoftBank Ventures and Andreessen Horowitz and has strong ties to Stanford University and MIT. Our management team and advisory board have decades of biopharmaceutical management experience, built software systems used by tens of millions of people, held VP and C-level positions at Fortune 100 companies, and have had previous startups end with successful strategic acquisitions.

     

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Work with twoXAR management to understand current talent needs and identify future ones
    • Activate external and internal hiring efforts, build a recruiting culture, and develop a talent pipeline
    • Identify, source, and assess candidates in line with twoXAR’s culture for available roles to present to management
    • Facilitate and coordinate interviews and guide an effective and efficient screening and assessment process
    • Capture, organize, and track candidate information and interview feedback from interviewers
    • Build and oversee an exceptional interviewing and hiring experience for candidates
    • Ensure quality procedures are in place which are in line with talent acquisition policies governing recruitment and selection including a diverse candidate pool
    • Monitor and respond to referrals and speculative applications received
    • Maintain job postings and twoXAR career page to ensure it is an engaging and compelling

    Required skills:

    • Ability to work with management to create and execute on a roadmap for personnel growth
    • Capacity to liaise with candidates at all levels, from board of directors to entry level hires
    • Can develop and implement talent acquisition strategies to cultivate active and passive talent pools
    • Understand the hiring process, key recruiting metrics, and how to drive them to deliver successful outcome
    • Understand market and talent realities in each geography in to inform approaches to finding, attracting and acquiring the best talent.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • 5+ years’ experience sourcing successful teams
    • Track record of successful placements in life science and software engineering in highly competitive markets
    • Demonstrated success in pulling in talent that is otherwise not job hunting
    • Startup minded: high energy, low maintenance, self-starter
    • Cultural fit: Genuine, collaborative, innovative, data-driven, & goal-oriented
