• Job Description: Scientific Partnership Representative

We are seeking a scientific partnership representative to support partnership activity. This Mountain View-based role is part of our core team and is critical to our success; compensation is reflective of a series-A startup and is commensurate with skills & experience. The ideal candidate has 5+ years’ experience in support of scientific sales.

    twoXAR is an artificial intelligence-driven drug discovery company

    We leverage our computational platform to identify promising drug candidates, validate and de-risk them through preclinical studies, and progress candidates to the clinic through industry and investor partnerships. We have established collaborations with leading biopharmaceutical companies and are now scaling the business and building our internal drug pipeline. twoXAR is venture-backed with financing from SoftBank Ventures and Andreessen Horowitz and has strong ties to Stanford University and MIT. Our management team and advisory board have decades of biopharmaceutical management experience, built software systems used by tens of millions of people, held VP and C-level positions at Fortune 100 companies, and have had previous startups end with successful strategic acquisitions.


    Responsibilities Include:

    • Work with VP, Biopharmaceutical Partnerships to build twoXAR’s opportunity pipeline for biopharmaceutical partnerships (joint de novo discovery and development of novel, first-in-class therapeutics)
    • Represent twoXAR at appropriate partnering and scientific conferences to cultivate new partnership opportunities and help advance in-flight discussions
    • Act as the scientific bridge between twoXAR and prospective partners by educating disease area experts on how twoXAR accelerates drug discovery and development
    • Identify, clarify, and understand partner needs to scope partnerships from a scientific perspective
    • Work with internal engineering and research teams to stay abreast of twoXAR technology and disease programs
    • Work with the Director of Marketing to develop scientific communication material based on feedback from prospective partners
    Required Skills:
    • In-depth knowledge of drug discovery research and biology across a range of therapeutic areas to understand partner needs and communicate twoXAR value
    • Sound understanding of the biopharmaceutical market environment
    • Ability to articulate complex technology to a scientific audience in a tractable way, to extract the hidden needs of prospective partners, and to influence experts to think creatively
    • Capable of working on a cross-functional team to solve problems
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, persuasion, presentation, and writing skills
    • 5+ years’ work in support of scientific sales
    • PhD in biology, life sciences, or equivalent
    • Proven track record of supporting impactful drug development partnerships
    • Startup minded: high energy, low maintenance, self-starter
    • Cultural fit: Genuine, collaborative, innovative, data-driven, & goal-oriented
    • Willingness to travel (25-50%)
